Minimizing our footprint, maximizing our flavor.
Our Story
The Terry Family Vineyards story starts not with vineyards, but with generations of proud farmers. Derived from the French word "terre" meaning "of the Earth, " our family's lineage is rooted in the land, spanning across continents and continents. Though we've ventured away from traditional farming at times, the spirit of the land has remained in our hearts.
Our journey back to agriculture began with a yearning for connection to the earth, a rediscovery of our heritage, and a desire to create something truly our own. In 2010, after years of searching, we found our home in an overgrown, abandoned farm on a hillside in Yamhill-Carlton. Surrounded by volcanic rock and blanketed by rows of dormant vines, we knew we had found our destiny.
Our Approach
Sustainability, excellence, and authenticity are the cornerstones of our philosophy. We embrace minimalist practices, minimizing intervention and maximizing the expression of the land. We are dry farmers, trusting the natural rainfall to nourish our vines. Our land is largely untouched, offering sanctuary to the local wildlife.
Our Wines
At Terry Family Vineyards, we cultivate a diverse selection of Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays, each expressing the unique character of our terroir. We embrace traditional methods and meticulous attention to detail in every step of the winemaking process.
Our Team
Led by Vineyard Manager Evan Bellingar, our team comprises experienced and passionate individuals who share our deep connection to the land and unwavering commitment to quality. We believe in collaboration, continuous learning, and celebrating the elegance and complexity of each vintage.
Our Vision
We envision Terry Family Vineyards as a beacon of sustainable and minimalist viticulture in the Willamette Valley. We hope to inspire others to reconnect with the earth, embrace the imperfections of nature, and savor the simple pleasures of a handcrafted glass of wine.
