At Torii Mor Winery, we are passionate about crafting exceptional Pinot Noir wines that showcase the beauty and complexity of the Willamette Valley. Our journey began in the 1980s, when our founder, Dr. Donald Olson, moved to Oregon to pursue his dreams of creating a renowned winery. With a keen eye for soil and climate, he acquired a prime vineyard property in the Dundee Hills and established Torii Mor Winery in 1993.
Our Story
Torii Mor Winery's roots run deep in the Willamette Valley. Our estate vineyard, Olson Estate Vineyard, was planted in 1972 and represents one of the oldest vineyards in the region. Located at 800 feet in the Dundee Hills, this unique site benefits from warm southern exposure and cool evening breezes. We take great pride in our sustainable farming practices and have carefully tended to our 5.3 acres of Pinot Noir vines, now over 45 years old. Our wines are crafted from a variety of clones, including Pommard and Wadenswil, with a focus on expression of terroir.
Our Team
We're proud to have an experienced and dedicated team, led by our Winemaker, Jon Tomaselli. Jon brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise, having worked alongside some of the region's most renowned winemakers. Our General Manager, Leigh Wilson, brings a unique blend of business acumen and passion for the wine industry. Our Director of Sales and Marketing, Matt Freeman, has extensive experience in the adult beverage industry and is dedicated to sharing the story of Torii Mor Winery with the world.
