Our History

Stonehome Estate Jewelers was founded in the late 1980s by owner Paul Duchesne. With 40 plus years in the jewelry business, Paul started his career in Boston and has since built Stonehome into one of the premier estate jewelers in New England. The name Stonehome was derived from the first retail location in a period stone home in York, Maine, where Paul created a little jewel box of a shop. Over the years, Stonehome has enjoyed various multiple locations in Portsmouth, NH, and Portland and Kennebunkport Maine, before finding its current home in Ogunquit. Most recently, Paul's purchase of The Whistling Oyster in the Perkins Cove section of Ogunquit has rounded out his affection for jewelry of all kinds.
