Northern Counties Soccer Association

Northern Counties Soccer Association (NCSA) is a competitive league that has been providing a platform for youth soccer players in the northeast New Jersey and nearby New York areas to showcase their skills and passion for the beautiful game for the past 50 years. Established in 1973 with just 10 clubs, NCSA has grown to become one of the most respected and renowned soccer leagues in the region, serving over 80 clubs and 1000 teams.

Our mission is to promote the game of soccer and provide a safe, enjoyable, and competitive environment for players, coaches, and families. We strive to foster sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership skills among our players while encouraging them to reach their full potential both on and off the field.

Clubs, Teams & Coaches

NCSA is proud to be home to some of the most dedicated and talented soccer clubs, teams, and coaches in the region. Our clubs range from small community-based organizations to larger, more competitive programs, all of which share a common goal of providing the best possible soccer experience for their players.

Our teams are divided into age-appropriate divisions, allowing players to compete against others of similar skill levels. We offer both recreational and travel programs, ensuring that there is a place for every player who wants to be a part of our league.

Our coaches are committed to teaching the game of soccer in a positive and supportive environment. They are required to complete background checks and attend regular coaching education courses to ensure that they are up-to-date on the latest coaching techniques and strategies.

Fields & Directions

NCSA games are played on a variety of fields throughout the region. We provide detailed directions to each field, as well as information on parking, restrooms, and other amenities. Our fields are maintained to the highest standards, ensuring that they are safe and enjoyable for players, coaches, and spectators alike.

Schedules/Results

Our schedules are designed to provide a fair and balanced season for all teams. We offer a variety of scheduling options, including weekend games, midweek games, and holiday tournaments. Our results are updated in real-time, allowing families and coaches to stay up-to-date on the latest game scores and standings.

Standings/Other Game Info

NCSA standings are calculated using a point-based system, with teams earning points for wins, ties, and goals scored. We also provide additional game information, including game day forms, referee fees, and codes of conduct.

Calendar of Events

NCSA Cup

The NCSA Cup is our annual tournament, which brings together the top teams from each division to compete for the coveted title of NCSA Cup Champion. The tournament is open to all NCSA teams, and is a great opportunity for players to showcase their skills and compete against some of the best teams in the region.

Sideline Project

NCSA is excited to partner with The Sideline Project to promote proper sideline behavior by both fans and coaches at our league events. We encourage everyone to "Take The Pledge" by viewing a 2+ minute video and signing a virtual pledge wall, stating: Youth sports belongs to the players. I pledge to honor the youth sports experience of the players with supportive, not distracting, behavior. I pledge to eliminate hostile behavior targeted towards players, coaches, parents, and most notably referees. I pledge to honor players, to respect referees, and to Make Youth Sports Better.
