For over three decades, we have been the Bay Area's leading dance studio, offering a comprehensive range of dance styles and programs for both children and adults. Our story began in 1990 when James and Jane Carter founded DAU with the goal of creating a space that is inclusive, supportive, and family-oriented.

Over the years, DAU has grown to become one of the most respected and cherished dance programs in the San Jose Bay Area. We have been recognized by Dance Teacher Magazine as one of the best private studios in the nation. Today, we are proud to serve over a hundred thousand families in the communities of Cupertino, Sunnyvale, Los Altos, Mountain View, Saratoga, Los Gatos, Campbell, Santa Clara, and San Jose.

Our new state-of-the-art facility is located at 19900 Stevens Creek Blvd. in Cupertino, CA. With our weekly schedule of over 200 classes, we offer dance training in various styles such as Acro, Ballet, Ballroom, Breakdance, Contemporary, Creative Dance, Hip Hop, Intro to Dance, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theater, Pilates, Technique, Tap, and Zumba. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced dancer, we have something for everyone at DAU.
