Elkton Vineyard Management

At Elkton Wine Company, we are more than just a winery. We are a family-run organization born from a man's commitment to his heritage. Our story begins with Nathan Wood, who was inspired by his great-grandfather's early days in the Napa Valley. His great-grandfather was one of the first vineyard managers, established in 1946, and later turned grape growers and winery founders.

Nathan found Elkton while hitchhiking through the Pacific Northwest in 2009. He decided to put down roots and hasn't looked back since. Casey, on the other hand, grew up in Los Angeles and moved to Humboldt County for college in 2006. She has worked in various industries, including wildlife biology, horses, and wine, before finally joining Nathan in the wine business.

Together, they formed Elkton Wine Company in 2016 and launched their inaugural label, Crew Work Wines. This label is an homage to the people who have worked for and with them, as well as those who appreciate their unique approach to winemaking.

Our Services

We are not just wine makers; we are also vineyard managers. We plant vineyards, grow grapes, and make wine, participating in every step of the process from buds to bottling. We spend as much time in the field as we do in the cellar, and we believe that this hands-on approach makes enjoying the fruits of our labor all the more rewarding.

Our allocation program is not a wine club, nor is it a way to receive wines multiple times per year at a discounted rate. It is a way to gain access to extremely limited production wines that are too small for mass scale distribution. It is a way to support a small business by making a choice to buy direct.

Our Philosophy

We believe that wine should be enjoyed with a bit of moxie, nuance, and originality. That's why we formed Crew Work Wines, to serve those who appreciate these qualities in their wine. We are committed to doing the best we can with what we've got, and we invite you to join us on this journey.
