The Long Island Ballet Center

Welcome to The Ballet Center, Ballet Long Island, and The Theater Company, a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to making the arts available and affordable to everyone. Our mission is to provide a supportive and challenging environment that fosters personal and artistic growth, while inspiring a love of dance and theater.

Our History

Founded on the belief that the study of dance gives students the skills and creativity to develop their own personal expression, The Ballet Center has been providing dance education on Long Island for over 40 years. With our experienced Artistic Director, Debra Punzi, at the helm, we have built a reputation as one of the top rated schools in the country.

Our Services

We offer a wide range of classes and programs for preschoolers, kids, teens, and adults, including Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Acting, and Musical Theater. Our Ballet Boot Camp, Star Wars Lightsaber Camp, and Broadway Camp are just a few of the unique programs we offer. Additionally, we provide audition opportunities for Ballet Long Island, as well as a Princess Tea Party and other special events.

Our Facilities

Our state-of-the-art facility includes four teaching rooms, a stage, two rest rooms, storage space, and a waiting area. Each teaching room is equipped with special dance floors that provide shock absorption and a non-skid surface, ensuring a safe and comfortable learning environment for our students.

Our Mission

At The Ballet Center, we are committed to making ballet and the arts available and affordable to everyone. As a nonprofit organization, all of our funds go back into the community, providing scholarships, low tuition fees, and more. We strive to inspire a love of dance and theater in our students, while also providing them with the skills and confidence to succeed in their personal and professional lives.
