At West Valley Dance Company, we're passionate about providing a well-rounded, professional dance education that caters to individual pace and growth. Our roots are in the passion of teaching, and our staff understands the importance of a child's development at any age - ensuring our lessons go beyond those of the dance studio.
Our History
The year was 1975, and Action Day Primary Plus was a daycare that was expanding rapidly as a result of the amount of mothers entering the workforce. Because the facility wanted to offer activities to children that all stay-at-home parents can provide their kids, the dance program was created, and our first dance class was held on April 5, 1976, in a small classroom at the preschool's location on Moorpark Avenue, San Jose. The new dance program, entitled Action Day Dance Academy, became hugely successful and studios were opened at each of the daycare's 11 locations.
Our Services
We offer a wide range of services that cater to dancers of all ages and skill levels. Our classes include jazz, ballet, hip-hop, tap, lyrical, acro, and more. We also offer birthday parties at WVDC, where kids can celebrate their special day with a fun dance-themed party. Our national award-winning teams compete in jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, contemporary, and tap, and we provide quality dance instruction to children of all ages since 1979.

We have multiple studios located in San Jose, Mountain View, and Willow Glen, providing a comfortable and spacious environment for our dancers to learn and grow. Our studios are equipped with state-of-the-art sound systems, sprung floors, and mirrors, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning experience.
