KT Engineering is a dynamic, highly motivated team of engineers and surveyors specializing in entitlement, civil design, and survey services. Our mission is simple: to provide our clients with a streamlined path from due diligence to agency approval and ultimately construction. We understand that in the world of land development, building relationships with approval agencies is just as important as the technical details of the design.

Our staff has been working closely with municipalities in the Denver Metro for the past 20 years. This extensive experience allows us to efficiently navigate the approval process, ensuring that our clients' projects are on a steady track to agency approval.

Our Services

• Civil Engineering & Surveying: Our team of engineers and surveyors work together to provide a comprehensive approach to land development. We focus on large-scale land development projects and have been fortunate enough to work with some of the largest land developers and home builders in the industry.

• Due Diligence: We can quickly assess a property's development potential and complexities so that our clients have a clear understanding of what lies ahead before making any financial commitments on the project.

• Site Planning & Conceptual Design: We can produce site plans, density studies, and illustrations to help our clients better understand the land's potential. After a quick discussion with local municipalities and an overlay of the site boundary on an aerial image, we can begin subdividing the parcel(s).

• Professional Surveying: Many of our peers outsource their survey needs. At KT Engineering, we understand that all projects, big or small, start and end with survey. We employ both field and office surveyors in order to provide our clients with a full-service, start-to-finish solution.

• Approvals: We've heard many clients describe the approval process as "going to battle." Our staff has been working closely with municipalities in the Denver metro area for the past 20 years. We've fought the good fight and emerged from the trenches with approved plans in hand.

• Construction Staking: Construction staking is a rapidly expanding focus of KT Engineering's scope of services. We approach construction staking with a different mentality than the typical survey firm, employing civil engineers with design experience to produce the office stakeout calculations to be provided to the survey field crews.

Our Team

Our team is made up of passionate, dedicated professionals who are committed to delivering high-quality results. Our leadership includes:

• Ken Toland, PE: Partner + President. Ken has 25 years of experience in the Denver Metro Area focusing exclusively on land development. As Engineer of Record for nearly 6,000 residential lots and numerous commercial developments, his commitment and experience are evident.

• Brian Swain: Partner + Project Engineer / Project Surveyor. Brian has always been obsessed with the details and the quest to deliver a perfect set of plans. He believes in an integrated approach to survey and engineering and is often involved in a project's design and construction from field to finish, bridging the gap between clients.

Our approach is based on the core values of focused commitment and accountability to our clients and their projects. We employ a simple approach where "YES is more." We believe that the work is not simply lines on a page but an expression of our values in the details of the design. All engineered designs are on a path to construction.
