Our History
San Clemente Gymnastics Club has been providing top-quality gymnastics instruction since April 1997. Over the years, we've continually expanded our offerings to meet the needs of our community, adding programs such as USAG Xcel Competitive Teams, Tumbling Classes for cheerleaders, Private Instruction, Preschool Classes, Camps, and Ninja Programs. We're particularly proud of the fact that many of our coaches are ex-gymnasts from our very own program, ensuring that our students receive the best possible guidance and support.
The Gym
Our state-of-the-art facility is equipped with everything your child needs to grow and thrive as a gymnast. This includes a USAG 40'x40' spring floor, single and uneven bars, low and high beams, a tumble trak, vaulting table, and Xcel vaulting system, along with numerous USAG standard mats and padded equipment. We also offer parents the opportunity to watch their child's class from the comfort of our lobby or via our live stream of classes available through the Customer Portal.
The Staff
At San Clemente Gymnastics Club, we're incredibly fortunate to have a team of instructors who are not only highly skilled in gymnastics but also dedicated to providing a positive, supportive environment for all our students. We prioritize patience, nurturing, and safety above all else, ensuring that every child feels valued and encouraged as they learn and grow. If you ever have a question or concern, our staff is always available to help, whether you prefer to call, email, or simply approach the front desk.
Mission Statement & Philosophy
Our mission at San Clemente Gymnastics Club is to provide a safe, positive environment where every student can enjoy their exploration into the world of gymnastics. We believe in the following principles and strive to instill them in our gymnasts:
- Be patient with yourself when learning gymnastics - it takes practice to master a skill.
- Treat fellow gymnasts and teachers with respect, courtesy, and love.
- Challenge yourself to improve your gymnastics skills.
- Define winning as a measure of your own personal effort and improvement.
- It is okay to make mistakes; it is a way we learn.
- Think positive and adopt a "can do" attitude.
- It is intelligent to ask questions.
- It takes courage to be willing to risk.
- Everyone has a right for time to think.
- Enjoy the challenges of gymnastics!
