Empowering Dancers, Enriching Audiences, One Performance at a Time
Since its inception in 1999, Capitol Ballet Company has been committed to bringing the beauty and elegance of ballet to a diverse audience of art lovers. Our pre-professional dancers, ranging in age from 11 to young adult, undergo rigorous training under the guidance of our experienced and dedicated faculty. Our mission is to produce high-quality performances, instill an appreciation of dance and the arts, and empower our dancers through their discipline and study.
Our Company
Capitol Ballet Company is a non-profit, pre-professional ballet company directed by Stuart Carroll and Sharon Newton. We are a volunteer organization staffed by highly skilled artistic directors, board members, and volunteers. Our company is funded in part by the Cultural Arts Awards Grant of the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission with support from the City and County of Sacramento.
