Welcome to Virginia Family Services, an accredited Substance Use and Behavioral Health Treatment Center dedicated to treating adults and children with substance use, mental health and/or co-occurring disorders. We are committed to strengthening families by providing effective, supportive, and therapeutic services. With multiple locations throughout Central Virginia, individuals have greater access to substance use and mental health services.

Our top priority is to provide comprehensive needs assessments, bio-psychosocial evaluations, addiction screenings, and strength-based multidimensional assessments. Our team of brand-approved professionals delivers evidence-based services with a person-centered approach. We believe in treating the whole person, not just the disorder. By addressing the underlying causes and related issues, we can help individuals achieve long-term recovery and improved mental health.

Services: Comprehensive Care for Individuals and Families

We provide a range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual. These services include:

• Addiction Recovery Treatment Services (ARTS): Our ARTS program offers a variety of outpatient services, including assessments, individual and group therapy, family therapy, and case management. We also provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder. Our ARTS services are designed to help individuals achieve and maintain recovery.

• Mental Health Services: Our mental health services include assessments, individual and group therapy, family therapy, and case management. We treat a wide range of mental health disorders, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. Our goal is to help individuals achieve improved mental health and well-being.

• Crisis Services: We offer crisis services for individuals experiencing a mental health emergency. Our crisis services include crisis assessment, intervention, and linkage to appropriate levels of care. We are committed to providing immediate assistance to those in need.

• Classes: We offer a variety of classes designed to support individuals in recovery and improve mental health. These classes include relapse prevention, anger management, stress management, and life skills.
