Southern Psychiatric Professionals (SPP) is a mental health practice dedicated to serving the community of south Atlanta. Our team of psychiatrists and therapists is committed to providing comprehensive, evidence-based care to individuals and families in Fayette/Coweta counties, including Peachtree City, Newnan, and surrounding areas. At SPP, we value client feedback and strive to continuously improve the services we offer.

Comprehensive Mental Health Treatment

At Southern Psychiatric Professionals, we offer a wide range of mental health services, including psychiatry and psychotherapy. Our psychiatrists are board-certified medical doctors who specialize in General Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and Forensic Psychiatry. Our therapists provide counseling, psychotherapy, and testing services.

Our General Psychiatry services include individual psychotherapy, medication management of mental disorders, couples and family therapy, evaluation services, consultations, and independent medical evaluations. We also provide Sports Psychology services.

Our Child and Adolescent Psychiatry services include individual psychotherapy, family and group psychotherapy, medication management of mental disorders (including ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder), evaluation services, consultations (including in-school consultations), IEP/504 plan review, independent medical evaluations, and forensic psychiatry services. Our Forensic Psychiatry services include court evaluations, child custody evaluations, independent medical evaluations, capacity evaluations, malpractice evaluations, need for treatment evaluations, psychiatric mitigation, disability expert testimony, and expert consultation.

Our Counseling/Psychotherapy/Testing services include individual psychotherapy (with telehealth available in some cases), couples/family therapy, consultations, clinical supervision for licensure, and ADHD testing (TOVA).

Patient-Centered Care

At Southern Psychiatric Professionals, we prioritize client needs above all else. Our practice was founded to provide a high level of mental health services to the south Atlanta area, as we recognized a lack of comprehensive providers serving our community. To ensure that we focus solely on the best course of treatment for our patients, we do not accept insurance at this time. This allows us to spend more time with patients during the assessment phase and throughout the course of treatment without the constraints of insurance companies.

Furthermore, we offer flexible appointment times and tailor our services to fit clients' busy schedules. We believe that mental health evaluation cannot be rushed or cut short, and we take the time needed to evaluate and treat each patient effectively. By cutting the overhead associated with insurance panels, we are able to offer reasonable rates for our services. Patients are welcome to submit our provided paperwork (superbill) to their own insurance providers for possible reimbursement.
