Our Story

The Plantation Catering has been a beloved establishment in the Houston area for over four decades, serving up delicious, high-quality meals with genuine warmth and hospitality. It all began on June 8th, 1981, when we opened our doors at 6600 Fannin Street, strategically located across from the bustling Texas Medical Center. For twenty years, we proudly catered to the unique needs of the medical community, becoming a trusted name for meetings, parties, luncheons, and other gatherings. However, our journey wasn't without its challenges. In 2001, Tropical Storm Allison inflicted significant damage on our original location, flooding the restaurant and forcing us to adapt. Undeterred, we quickly established a temporary kitchen in a rented school cafeteria, continuing to serve our loyal clientele throughout the summer.

This temporary setback proved to be a turning point, leading us to build our current and expanded facility at 3147 West Holcombe. Over the years, our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction has remained unwavering.

Our founding partners, Antonio Marquines and Ron Langhamer, have poured their hearts and souls into The Plantation, creating a welcoming atmosphere where every guest feels valued. Antonio, a seasoned manager with 35 years of experience, is known for his exceptional customer service and dedication to building lasting relationships.
