What is Taekwondo?

Taekwondo is a combative sport characterized by its emphasis on fast kicking techniques, head-height kicks, jumping, and spinning kicks. It is a traditional Korean martial art that teaches more than physical fighting skills. Taekwondo is a discipline that shows ways of enhancing our spirit and life through training our body and mind. Today, it has become a global sport that has gained an international reputation, and stands among the official games in the Olympics.

The word "Tae" means foot, "Kwon" means fist, and "Do" means the way or discipline of the mind. Taekwondo means "the right way of using all parts of the body to stop fights and help to build a better and more peaceful world." Taekwondo is very different from many other martial arts. Physically, it is very dynamic with active movements that include a mirage of foot skills. The principle physical movements are in sync with that of the mind and life as a whole. Taekwondo possesses dynamic poses from another perspective. Taekwondo can be characterized by unity: the unity of body, mind, and life, and the unity of relationships between students and instructors.

Daycare and Camp Programs

As a state-licensed daycare and camp facility, we offer a range of programs designed to provide a safe, fun, and educational environment for your children. Our daycare program operates from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm, and our after-school program operates from 3:00 pm to 5:15 pm. We offer transportation and childcare services, and our programs are designed to complement your child's school day, providing them with additional opportunities to learn and grow.

Our camp programs are designed to provide a fun and engaging environment for your child during the summer months. Our camps offer a range of activities, including martial arts instruction, games, crafts, and field trips. We believe that our camp programs provide a unique and valuable experience for your child, allowing them to learn new skills, make new friends, and have fun.
