A great start to your day, and a delightful evening to remember.

For over 75 years, Hob Nob Hill has been a beloved landmark in San Diego, offering a unique blend of classic American dining and warm hospitality. From humble beginnings to a local institution, our story is intertwined with the evolving landscape of the city itself.

A Legacy of Culinary Excellence

In 1944, Harold and Dorothy Hoersch opened the Juniper Cafe, a 14-stool lunch counter with a vision of providing exceptional food and service at reasonable prices. Over the years, the restaurant evolved, changing names and locations to keep pace with the changing times. Today, we stand as San Diego's oldest restaurant in the same location, proudly upholding the legacy of our founders.

A Menu Crafted with Care

Our menu features the finest American cooking, with every dish meticulously prepared on-premise. From fresh-baked muffins to home-cured corned beef, our culinary team takes pride in crafting every bite. Our offerings include classic diner favorites alongside contemporary favorites, ensuring something for every palate.

Exceptional Service, A Shared Responsibility

At Hob Nob Hill, we believe in offering exceptional service that goes beyond just delivering food. Our team works together as one, sharing the responsibility to ensure your dining experience is memorable. We prioritize attentive and personalized service, treating every guest like family.

More Than Just a Restaurant

Over the years, Hob Nob Hill has become more than just a place to dine. It's a community gathering point, a historical landmark, and a testament to the enduring power of good food and service. We've been featured in national publications, TV shows, and books, earning accolades and recognition that we proudly display.
