About Us

Nevada Primary Care Association (NVPCA) is a non-profit organization that has been supporting community health centers and other primary care providers in Nevada since 1995. As the federally designated Primary Care Association for the state, we are dedicated to empowering these vital health care organizations to enhance access to quality and comprehensive care for underserved communities.

Our Mission

Our mission is to strengthen Nevada's primary care system by:

  • Maximizing Resources: We assist health centers in securing funding, implementing cost-effective programs, and optimizing workflows.
  • Connecting Health and Public Health: We foster collaboration between medical care providers and public health departments to address community health needs holistically.
  • Empowering Capacity: We provide training, technical assistance, and leadership development opportunities to strengthen the workforce.

Who We Serve

NVPCA currently serves over 57 community health centers across the state, serving over 114,945 patients annually. We proudly support:

  • Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs)
  • Tribal Health Centers
  • Primary Care Clinics
  • Community Health Providers

Our Services

Our diverse services are tailored to meet the unique needs of our members. These include:

  • Training & Events: Workshops, conferences, and peer networking events to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Technical Assistance: Guidance on operations, finance, and clinical services.
  • Substance Use Disorder & Mental Health: Specialized programs and resources to address behavioral health needs.
  • Reproductive Health: Initiatives to improve access to comprehensive reproductive healthcare.
  • Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH): Support for implementing patient-centered care models.

Our Impact

Through our dedicated work, we have:

  • Helped secure over $20 million in funding for Nevada health centers.
  • Facilitated the creation of over 20 new community health centers.
  • Provided training opportunities for over 1,000 healthcare professionals.
