Overall Impression
The reviews of Alta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center are mixed, with several reviewers expressing both positive and negative experiences.
Care and Quality of Care
Some reviewers praised the care and quality of care at the facility, mentioning exceptional staff, cleanliness, and modern facilities. For example, Glenn Holiday, who had a positive experience after undergoing surgery, praised the facility's modern and sanitized environment, stating that he completed his rehabilitation process in 3.5 weeks, which is a significant improvement from the initial projected 7-8 weeks. Ian's Business office also received praise from Jann Hehn, who appreciated the staff's ability to navigate the process and provide clear explanations.
On the other hand, several reviewers expressed concerns about the quality of care, citing issues such as neglect, poor staffing, and a lack of attention from staff. Lauren Mazurowski, for instance, described her grandmother's experience at the facility as "very disappointing and concerning, " citing low-quality care, constant clothing theft, and poor hygiene. Michael Mazurowski, whose grandmother also stayed at the facility, corroborated these concerns, stating that many of the staff members were neglectful and combative with family members.
Staff and Ownership
Some reviewers praised the staff's professionalism and caring nature, such as Nonya Mom, who appreciated the nursing and caring staff of the 200 wing, stating that they always kept her mom's care and progress in touch. Corinne Campbell also praised the staff, stating that they seemed to care about their employees and residents.
On the other hand, some reviewers expressed concerns about the ownership and management of the facility. Michael Mazurowski claimed that the ownership prefers patients who are sedated, cognitively disabled, and lack family to visit, implying that this is a deliberate decision to prioritize certain types of patients over others.
Facilities and Amenities
Some reviewers praised the facility's modern and sanitized environment, such as Glenn Holiday, who appreciated the library, piano, and fine dining. On the other hand, some reviewers criticized the facilities, stating that they lacked basic amenities or were in disrepair.
Conclusion
The reviews of Alta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center are mixed, with both positive and negative experiences. While some reviewers praised the care, staff, and facilities, others expressed concerns about the quality of care, staffing, and ownership. Readers should weigh the pros and cons carefully when considering this facility for their loved ones.
