Our Mission

NW Services is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting international understanding and cultural exchange through educational programs. For over two decades, we have been a designated J1 organization by the U.S. Department of State, placing international high school students with American host families across the nation. We believe that connecting diverse individuals from different cultures fosters empathy, breaks down stereotypes, and ultimately contributes to a more peaceful and interconnected world.

Our core mission revolves around carefully matching international exchange students with American host families who are eager to provide a welcoming and supportive environment. We meticulously consider each student's individual needs, interests, and goals to ensure a successful and enriching cultural experience. Similarly, we strive to find host families who are open-minded, enthusiastic about hosting, and possess the commitment and resources to provide a genuinely nurturing home away from home for these young individuals.

Beyond providing a comfortable living arrangement, NW Services plays an active role in supporting the academic and personal development of our students. We help them navigate the complexities of the American educational system, attend local public high schools, and integrate seamlessly into their new communities. Our dedicated team of Local Coordinators and Regional Supervisors are always available to offer guidance, address concerns, and ensure a smooth transition for both students and host families.
