Bistro Le Relais

It is with great excitement and pleasure that we announce, beginning this month, your favorite Le Relais dishes will be available for lunch on the last Friday of each month. Our lunch hours will be 11:15am - 1:15pm and reservations are now available on Open Table. We look forward to having you join us.

Situated in the historic airport terminal of Bowman Field, Le Relais offers a fine dining experience like no other in Louisville. Here you'll find exquisite French cuisine, prepared with only the finest, freshest ingredients, combined with relaxed, first-class service and an intimate, 1940s art-deco interior reminiscent of the Cafe from the movie "Casablanca". With a little imagination, you can see it exactly as Charles Lindbergh did when he landed the "Spirit of St. Louis" here in 1927.

Our Story

Anthony R. Dike, Owner and Operator, was born in Switzerland, where he spent most of his childhood. He moved to New York in 1981 to work with E.F. Hutton company, and started working in the New York restaurant scene. Anthony worked at Mortimer's and other stylish places before he became Maitre d' at the elegant La Goulue. He partnered with Jean DeNoyer to open Le Relais in Louisville's historic Bowman Field in 1988, and has since become the sole proprietor and owner.

Anthony has a flair and passion for food, excellent wines, and superb service that has made Bistro Le Relais known as the best French restaurant in the area. Anthony Dike also has built an incredible wine list, achieving several Wine Spectator awards. Anthony Dike has become the face of Le Relais as well as being known as the consummate host of the city.

Our outdoor patio experience on Sunday was fantastic! I don't think you will find a better atmosphere in Louisville. We loved listening to the acoustic two piece band and watching the planes land and take off as we ate our dinner. I highly recommend their calamari to eat and an old/new fashioned to drink as I have yet to find another place in town that can compare. Nicely done Le Relais staff!

We ate at Le Relais last night and had a great time sitting out on the deck. We saw a beautiful sunset and the weather was great. The food is the best in town. Anthony Dike is a super owner and works so hard to make sure that your dinning experience is the best. Everyone should try this restaurant. In twenty seven years of going to have dinner there, we have never had a bad meal or problem. Its a gem for Louisville.
