Our Expertise and Experience

Robert Arida, founder and owner of 1st Maintenance, has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. Having grown up in a family of builders, he learned the craft from his father and grandfather. He furthered his education with a degree in Business and Construction Engineering. Over the years, Robert has dug his first foundation at the age of 14, built his first home at the age of 22, and has been involved in various residential and commercial construction projects.

After Hurricane Charley in 2004, Robert was involved in rebuilding several hotels in the Daytona Beach area. In 2005, he worked alongside the US Army Corps of Engineers rebuilding break walls in New Orleans after the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina. Although busy with Arida Construction, he even found time to own and operate a pizzeria. Now, he is proud to serve Horry County, South Carolina, with his business 1st Maintenance, offering a construction company dedicated to providing professional and quality construction services.
