At Metro Credit Union, our primary goal is to provide exceptional financial services to our members, while maintaining the highest level of trust, integrity, and commitment to our mission. As the Omaha area's loan and deposit rate leader, we have over 44,000 members who rely on us to provide the financial products and services they want and need.

As a not-for-profit financial institution, we are owned and controlled by our members, which means we are solely focused on serving the best interests of our members. This unique ownership structure allows us to make decisions that prioritize our members, rather than external investors. This commitment to conservative operations and providing value to our members has led to continued growth and success year after year.

Our Leadership Team

Our leadership team is comprised of a nine-member volunteer Board of Directors, elected by the membership. Our Board and Committee Members bring a wide range of experience and expertise to the table, with backgrounds in finance, accounting, healthcare, marketing, construction, human resources, security, property management, and business administration. The Board is responsible for setting policy, safeguarding the assets of the Credit Union, and hiring our President and CEO, Mike McDermott.

How We Serve

At Metro Credit Union, we serve anyone who lives, works, worships, attends school, or regularly conducts business in the following eight counties: Douglas, Sarpy, Saunders, Cass, Washington, Iowa, Pottawattamie, Harrison, and Mills. Additionally, any immediate family of a current Metro member is eligible for membership.
