Who We Are
Established in 1973, Banneker High School has established itself as a pillar of the DC community. Our close-knit faculty and staff are passionate about fostering vibrant learning experiences and nurturing the talents of each student. We are proud of our diverse student body, representing over 100 different countries and cultures, and our unwavering commitment to empowering them to become responsible global citizens.

Student Experience
Many students have expressed appreciation for the school's preparation for college, with some highlighting specific teachers who made a positive impact on their experience. One student, Big Bamski, noted that while they enjoyed the school's approach to preparing them for college, they wished there were more teachers like Amanda Zigmond and Daniel Goldfarb who show genuine care for students as individuals.
