At Laughing Tiger Recording Studios, we are committed to providing a premier music recording experience in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our studio is equipped with two professional, world-class recording studios, offering variable ambience in the live rooms and a range of isolation options. We boast clear sightlines between rooms and tie lines between the studios, making it the perfect environment for your next recording project.

Control Room A

Our Control Room A is the heart of our studio, featuring a custom 52-channel SSL 4052 G+ console with "Ultimation" moving faders. This state-of-the-art console is equipped with "Total Recall, " E-series EQs, Gates, and Compressors on every channel. Our Pro Tools 2024.3 HDX rig has 64 ins/outs, plus an extensive collection of plugins. We also offer a Studer Mark 4 A80 2" 24-track and Ampex ATR 1/2" and 1/4" analog recorders for those looking for a vintage sound.

The room is equipped with a 56-inch 4K UHD screen on a retracting motorized lift for mixing and recall. Our super accurate monitoring system features various speaker choices and a custom-built sub array. With a large enough space to set up gear and comfortably do overdubs, Control Room A is designed to meet all your recording needs.

Big Room and Ambient ISO

The Big Room at Laughing Tiger Recording Studios offers a spacious environment perfect for tracking bands or large ensembles. The room's design allows for a range of ambience options, making it ideal for any style of music. Our Ambient ISO room provides further isolation options, giving you the flexibility to customize your recording environment to suit your needs.

Dry ISO and Lounge

For those requiring complete isolation, our Dry ISO room offers a controlled environment with minimal ambience. This room is perfect for recording vocals, guitars, or any instrument that requires a dry, clean sound. After a long day of recording, our comfortable lounge area provides a relaxing space to unwind and discuss your project.

Studio B and Additional Facilities

Studio B is our second professional recording studio, featuring a control room, live room, vocal room, and tech room. This studio offers a similar range of ambience options and isolation solutions as Studio A, making it an excellent choice for smaller projects or those requiring additional space.

Our facility also includes a floor plan that showcases our gear, including control room A and B, outboard gear, microphones, instruments, and plugins. We are proud to offer a stunning Yamaha C7 grand piano, Wurlitzer and Rhodes pianos, and a Hammond B3 with a Leslie speaker. Our vintage keyboard collection also includes a 1910 Henry F. Miller upright grand piano.
