North Shore Yacht Club

As an institution, North Shore Yacht Club has been serving the sailing community for over 154 years, making it the oldest yacht club on Long Island. Our humble beginnings date back to 1871, when we were founded as the New York Canoe Club. Over the years, we've evolved to become a thriving community of sailors, ranging from seasoned blue-water racers to new sailors just starting their journey.

Our Club

Located on the north shore of Manhasset Bay in Port Washington, our club offers a unique and protected mooring area, making us one of the safest and most convenient ports on the bay. Our fleet consists mainly of sailboats, ranging from small one-designs to ocean-going auxiliaries. Our diverse membership includes experienced cruisers, blue-water racers, and new sailors, all united by a shared passion for sailing.
