At Big Beard Woodcrafters, we boast extensive experience in carpentry and home remodeling. Our expertise ranges from residential ground-up home construction to the final touches with our primary focus on finish carpentry and interior home remodeling. We understand that home remodeling projects can be stressful, which is why we strive to eliminate that feeling and work closely with our clients through all phases of the remodel until we achieve the desired result. Our attention to detail and high-quality craftsmanship ensure that our clients are never disappointed. We respect our clients' homes as if they were our own and communicate directly with the owner, Adam, and his wife/business partner, Megan. We take care of all the details, from working with subcontractors, building inspectors, suppliers, architects, designers, and answering services, ensuring our clients receive a prompt response.

Meet Our Team

Adam Smile, Master Carpenter/Owner, has worked with and learned from many seasoned carpenters who have taught him how to do things the right way from the start. He has received both formal and informal training in the construction/carpentry trade. Adam attended the New England Institute of Technology, where he studied Building Construction Technology, and Rutgers University, where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance. He believes that to run a successful business, one must understand the trade and how to properly run a business.

Our Experience

Adam has extensive experience in house framing from the ground up and has worked on all aspects of home construction from start to finish. He has also built custom cabinetry, furniture, and fixtures for a high-end millwork company. His commercial experience includes finish carpentry for retail shops, including Victoria's Secret, The Limited, Talbots, Express, Dick's Sporting Goods, White Barn Candle, and Bath & Body Works. Adam has been active in the business for over 25 years, proudly serving Queensbury, Glens Falls, Saratoga, Ballston Spa, Lake Luzerne, Corinth, Lake George, Bolton Landing, Diamond Point, Warrensburg, Great Sacandaga Lake, Northville, Day, Edinburg, Chestertown, Brant Lake, Loon Lake, and Schroon Lake.
