1. Training Programs

PVKC offers a wide range of training programs designed to cater to the needs of dogs at various stages of their lives. Our training programs include:

c. CGC Tests, CGC-A Tests, and Trick Dog Tests - PVKC offers Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Tests, Community Canine (CGC-A) Tests, and Trick Dog Tests throughout the year. These tests are designed to evaluate a dog's good manners, obedience, and overall temperament. No pre-registration is required for these tests.

2. Canine Shows & Trials

PVKC hosts several canine events throughout the year, including:

a. Summer All-Breed Show - Our annual Summer All-Breed Show is a celebration of purebred dogs and their unique qualities. The event features conformation shows, obedience and rally trials, and specialty events for various breeds. Learn more about the Summer All-Breed Show.

b. Obedience & Rally Trials - PVKC offers obedience and rally trials, providing an opportunity for dogs to demonstrate their skills, discipline, and teamwork with their handlers. Visit this page to learn more.

c. Health Clinics - PVKC is committed to promoting the health and well-being of dogs. Our health clinics provide dog owners with access to essential veterinary services, including vaccinations, heartworm testing, and microchipping.

3. AKC Temperament Test, Certified Farm Dog Test, and Fetch Tests

PVKC offers several American Kennel Club (AKC) programs aimed at evaluating and recognizing dogs' natural talents and abilities. These programs include:

a. AKC Temperament Test - The AKC Temperament Test is a pass-fail noncompetitive test designed to assess a dog's general temperament, stability, and ability to adapt to various situations. To learn more, visit the AKC Temperament Test page.

b. Certified Farm Dog Test - The Certified Farm Dog Test evaluates a dog's ability to perform various tasks on a farm while maintaining a stable and friendly temperament. To preregister for the test, click here.

c. AKC Fetch Tests - AKC Fetch titles were created to offer an enjoyable activity for dog owners and their pets. These tests assess a dog's retrieving ability across four levels of titles (Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, and Retriever).
