Where every meal is a treat, and every moment is a celebration!
The Country House has a rich history that dates back to 1924 when Valentine Kobal built his dream country roadhouse. Located in Clarendon Hills, it started as a tavern and small grocery store with Kobal's family living on the second floor. Despite Prohibition, the business remained open as a grocery store and restaurant. In 1930, a small stone house was added for various activities. Over the years, the Country House changed hands several times, with notable owners including Richard Montanelli, who renamed it in 1958. After a period of decline, four local residents purchased it in 1974 and renovated it, reopening in 1975 with a new menu featuring the famous Country Burger. Since then, the Country House has expanded to include a second location in Geneva, Illinois, and has become known for its exceptional food and service, as well as paranormal sightings reported by many.
