Michael Kent

Michael Kent has spent over two decades redefining the intersection of comedy and magic through performances that blend sharp wit with illusion. With a background in Communication, Linguistics, and Theater from The Ohio State University, and training at Chicago's Second City comedy theater, I bring a unique perspective to live entertainment. My career spans performances for audiences across 40 U.S. states and 13 countries, including engagements for US Troops overseas and over 500 college campuses. Recognized as Entertainer of the Year by Campus Activities Magazine and Magician of the Year by the Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities, my approach combines stand-up comedy with satirical takes on traditional magic tropes.

This distinctive style has earned repeat bookings at institutions where students consistently request my shows year after year. My work extends beyond performance to include authorship, with a published book reflecting my journey from college magic enthusiast to internationally recognized entertainer. Maintaining strong ties to my Columbus, Ohio roots, I continue to develop content that challenges conventional performance formats while delivering measurable audience engagement.
