At Walnut Creek Yacht Club, we're more than just a seafood restaurant - we're a dining experience that will transport you to the Bay Area's finest coastal spots, right in the heart of Walnut Creek. Our founders, Ellen McCarty and Kevin Weinberg, opened our doors in 1997 with a mission to bring the freshest and finest seafood to landlocked Walnut Creek. We want our guests to feel like they're part of an exclusive club, where everyone is treated like a member.

Our Story

Our story began when Ellen and Kevin decided to bring a taste of the ocean to Walnut Creek. They wanted to create an atmosphere that would make their guests feel comfortable, relaxed, and welcomed, just like they would on a day out on the Bay. And so, the Walnut Creek Yacht Club was born. Our decor is inspired by the nautical touches of teak, mahogany, and stainless steel, and even features an authentic jib from the America's Cup Defender, Alinghi.

Our Menu

Our menu is built around the freshest and highest-quality seafood, supplied exclusively by Osprey Seafood Company, the top seafood purveyor in the Bay Area. We're proud to say that our seafood has never been frozen, and we take great care in handling and storing it to ensure its pristine condition. Our non-seafood items are also sourced from top suppliers, including Acme Bread Company, Golden Gate Meats, and Joe Rubino's produce. We're committed to using only the finest ingredients, and we make 99% of our menu items in-house, from our famous WCYC Clam Chowder to our sauces, salad dressings, and desserts.

We're proud to have been voted Best Seafood Restaurant in the East Bay by Diablo Magazine for 12 years, and have received numerous other awards, including Best Chef, Best Bartender, and Best Sommelier. We've also been Michelin Guide recommended from 2010-2014, and have been named Best Seafood Restaurant and Best Craft Cocktails by the Bay Area A List.
