Smyrna Bilingual Academy was established in 2008 by Tamisha Young and Noemi Rosa, with the goal of providing creative educational programs for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years, as well as after school care and exciting summer camp and enrichment programs for school age children. Our passion for children inspired us to create a childcare facility that incorporates the Spanish language in every area of our curriculum, providing children with daily opportunities to become fluent in a second language.
Our Philosophy
At Smyrna Bilingual Academy, we believe in building self-confidence, fostering a desire to learn, and teaching respect for others and our environment. Our certified teachers provide individualized attention through our small classroom environments, promoting creativity and development at each child's own pace. We take pride in our commitment to children and working parents, providing a secure and enriching environment where learning occurs naturally.
Our Curriculum
Our curriculum is designed to ensure that our students learn all the things they will need to progress to the next level of learning, all the way to the start of kindergarten. We incorporate the Abeka Curriculum, which is designed to allow children to learn in a systematic, focused, and fun way all of the things they will need to enable them to excel once they begin elementary school. New concepts are introduced and re-enforced throughout the week and month, with review of new concepts completed at the end of the week and month to ensure that concepts have been captured before moving on to the new months' concept.
