Our Story
At Compass Academy, we believe that learning is a lifelong journey, and that every moment is an opportunity for growth and discovery. Founded in 2007 by Jeena Sashittal, our early childhood education center is dedicated to providing a nurturing and engaging environment that fosters a love of learning in every child.
Our Philosophy
We are inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach, an educational philosophy that views the child as a capable and curious individual, and recognizes the importance of listening to and valuing the child's thoughts and ideas. Our approach focuses on project-based learning, where children are encouraged to explore and investigate topics that interest them, and are empowered to take an active role in their own learning process.
Our Programs
We offer a range of programs designed to meet the unique needs and developmental stages of young children. From infancy to preschool, our programs are designed to be engaging, interactive, and fun, while also promoting social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Infants: Our infant program is designed for newborns up to 12 months, and focuses on nurturing and bonding, as well as introducing basic motor skills and cognitive development.
- Toddlers: Our toddler program is designed for children from 12 to 24 months, and focuses on developing social skills, problem-solving, and gross motor skills.
- Early Preschool: Our early preschool program is designed for 2- and 3-year-old children, and focuses on developing language skills, social skills, and fine motor skills.
- Pre-K: Our pre-K program is designed for 4- and 5-year-old children, and focuses on developing reading, writing, and math skills, as well as promoting social and emotional development.
- Half-Day Preschool: Our half-day program is designed for children between 2- and 5-years-old, and offers a condensed version of our full-day program.

- Outdoor Classrooms: Our outdoor classrooms are equipped with play structures, sensory play areas, and natural play spaces, where children can explore and learn in a safe and supportive environment.
- Rain or Shine: We're not afraid of a little rain! Our indoor spaces are designed to be just as engaging and stimulating as our outdoor spaces, so that learning can happen regardless of the weather.
