Empowering Young Athletes Through Gymnastics and Cheer

The History of Bully's

At Bully's, we take pride in our rich history, dating back to 1903. For over a century, we have been providing exceptional hospitality and a memorable experience for our guests. Our story began when Dave and Sherry, after 20 years in the insurance industry, decided to leave the corporate world and pursue their dream of becoming restaurateurs. After 11 months of renovating, cleaning, painting, and restocking of equipment, food, and staff, the couple re-opened Bully's in 2000. With tireless effort and dedication, Dave and Sherry continued to grow and improve the business. They also made a conscious effort to use the freshest and most local ingredients, which has earned them numerous local awards for overall customer satisfaction.

The Restaurant and Inn

At Bully's, we pride ourselves on our bar and grill, which offers award-winning cuisine and the largest selection of beer in the area. Our restaurant is family-owned and operated, and our inn offers 11 beautifully renovated and well-appointed rooms, each with its own private bathroom. Our inn welcomes guests as diverse as traveling tourists, local patrons celebrating special occasions, wedding parties, or business travelers.

Our Facilities

Our facility includes a historic tavern located in the heart of Columbia, Pennsylvania. In addition to the inn, we also have a pastry and bake shop, The Flour Child, owned and operated by pastry Chef Alixe (Ingoglia) Hemerly. Our bake shop building was fully renovated in 2009 by the owners and coordinates with the colors and themes of Bully's.

Awards and Recognition

We have received numerous local awards for our excellence in customer satisfaction and for our preservation efforts. In 2010, we were honored by the Historic Preservation Trust of Lancaster County with the C. Emlen Urban Award for Preservation, in recognition of exterior renovations to the facade.

Our Team

At Bully's, we consider our long-time employees to be part of our extended family. We take pride in our exceptional service and aim to provide an unforgettable experience for our guests. Our executive chef, Bobby Schoelkopf, has won numerous awards for his culinary skills and his dedication to using only the freshest and locally sourced ingredients.

Amenities

Our inn offers a continental breakfast to our guests, and we cater to guests with dietary restrictions, including gluten-free options. We also offer a cozy and relaxing atmosphere for our guests to enjoy.
