Miss Pearl's Swim School

At Pearl Krongard Swim School, our mission is to provide a safe and enjoyable swimming experience for individuals of all ages, from 6 months to 92 years old. With over 46 years of experience, our swimming instructors are dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of swimming to both children and adults.

Private Swimming Lessons

We offer private swimming lessons, which are tailored to each individual's needs. Our instructors work one-on-one with each student, providing immediate feedback and encouragement. This personalized approach allows for quick and effective learning. Our private swimming lessons are ideal for those who want to learn at their own pace and build confidence in the water.

Semi-Private Swimming Lessons

For groups of two students who are at the same stage of proficiency, our semi-private swimming lessons are an excellent option. This setting provides a fun and competitive environment, where students motivate each other to learn and improve.

Adult Swimming Lessons

At Pearl Krongard Swim School, we recognize that adults have unique reasons for learning to swim. Whether you want to keep up with your kids, are a newcomer to swimming, or an athlete looking to improve your endurance, we tailor our lessons to your individual needs.

COVID-19 Precautions

We are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our students and staff. To ensure the safety of everyone, we have implemented the following precautionary measures:

• Temperature checks are no longer required, but we will monitor students' and staff members' health daily.
• Face coverings are mandatory inside the facility.
• Instructors wear clear face shields.
• Hand sanitizer will be provided at the entrance and exit of the pool area.
• Social distancing measures will be in place, with at least 6 feet of distance between individuals.
• Only one parent or guardian will be allowed to accompany students during swim lessons.
• Video recordings and/or pictures are permitted during swim lessons.
• Parents or guardians must remain seated 6 feet apart from each other.
• Swimming before or after swim lessons is not permitted unless there are fewer than 8 people in the pool.

Our swim lessons are held at the Sonesta Hotel (formerly Courtyard by Marriott), located at 8910 Stanford Blvd., Columbia, MD 21045.

Pearl Krongard is the owner and head instructor of Pearl Krongard Swim School. With over 46 years of teaching experience, Pearl is passionate about teaching children and adults of every level. She holds certifications in WSI, Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR, and Pool Operator. Fulfill Vaccinated.
