At Academic Tutoring & Testing, we have been dedicated to helping students in the Twin Cities achieve success since 1989. Our team of experienced tutors and staff understand that every student has a unique learning style and needs a personalized approach to learning.

We offer a free consultation to all clients so that we can better understand the needs of our students. We also work closely with counselors, teachers, and learning specialists to determine the best course of action for each student. Our tutors and staff are flexible and can work around your schedule. You can sign up for as many or as few classes as you need.

Our Services

We offer a variety of services to help students succeed in the classroom and beyond. Our services include:

• Personalized, Customized Learning Plans: Our tutors are trained to address the academic needs of all types of learners in a variety of subjects, including math, science, English, AP courses, and foreign languages. We work with students who are gifted or diagnosed with an attentional/processing disorder or learning disability to create a learning plan that meets their needs.
• Proven ACT/SAT Prep: Our tutors are trained in teaching students how to achieve on standardized exams. In our ACT and SAT prep classes, students work one-on-one with a tutor to learn strategies such as how and when to guess, time management, shortcut solutions to problems, how to use the calculator efficiently, and how to manage stress throughout the exam. We also help students who are granted extended time on the exam learn how to best use it.
• Assistance with Online and Alternative Education Plans: We help students find creative ways to get through difficult courses, balance busy extracurricular schedules with education, and make up credits that were missed due to illness or other issues. We work directly with school, parents, and students to implement a plan that works best for all parties. We are also an accredited proctor for several online school options.
