Our journey began in 1982 when Arthur and Caroline Roof founded the company, hence the name, Under One Roof. Michelle Mathena took over the business in 2002 and has been successfully operating it ever since. We are proud to be a 10-year winner of Angie's List's Super Service Award, People Love Us On Yelp Awards, and a long-time member of the Illinois Movers' and Warehousemen's Association. Our Services

We specialize in local moving throughout the Chicago area. In addition to household moving, we offer other specialty services including office moving, packing, hoisting, piano moving, loading/unloading rental trucks and pods. We provide in-house estimates free of charge. Our simple pricing consists of an hourly rate, which for residence to residence moves includes all materials to safely move items such as tape, shrinkwrap, tools, dollies, speed packs, and furniture padding, as well as unlimited wardrobes for use on moving day. A travel charge is determined by how far your furthest location is from our office. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

• Boxes and packing supplies available for purchase for DIY packing
• Free delivery of packing supplies for DIY packing on orders over $100 within 10 miles of our office
• Full packing services prior to your moving day charged by the box (includes packing materials)
• Unpacking services
