Dance Classes
We offer comprehensive dance instruction in 12+ styles including ballet, jazz, contemporary, and acrobatics for ages 3 to adult. Our curriculum builds technical skill, artistic expression, and physical fitness while emphasizing confidence and discipline. Classes are available at all levels from beginner to pre-professional, with performance opportunities in annual recitals and community events.
Tutoring Services
Our in-house tutoring program helps students strengthen academic skills with personalized instruction in reading, writing, and study habits. Certified educators provide 50-minute in-studio sessions at $50 or 45-minute in-home sessions at $75. The program focuses on closing learning gaps, improving executive function, and building confidence through individualized learning plans tailored to each student's needs.
Master Workshops
Specialized workshops like our Yoga Master Class with Miss Leslie and Audition Prep Workshop enhance dance technique and performance readiness. These limited-time sessions provide expert instruction in specific skills ranging from audition techniques to cross-training practices. Pre-Professional Programs
Our Pre-Professional and Junior Company programs prepare serious dancers for careers through advanced choreography, convention participation, and industry networking. Dancers in Level 3+ train in ballet, jazz, and contemporary while learning professional expectations and performance etiquette. The program includes convention appearances, masterclasses, and career guidance to develop well-rounded dance professionals.
Studio Rental
Our three fully-equipped dance studios are available for rental during non-class hours. The spaces accommodate rehearsals, special events, and community gatherings with professional flooring, sound systems, and lighting. Rental availability runs Monday-Friday 3:30-9 PM and Saturday 9 AM-3:30 PM, with booking options for single sessions or recurring reservations.

Rachel Strong founded Strong Dance Studios in 2007 after a lifelong dance career. She transformed her childhood studio into Cypress' only non-profit dance academy, focusing on confidence-building through dance education. Sarah Cashmore Hummel
Staff & Production Coordinator
Sarah has 30+ years dance experience across ballet, jazz, and musical theatre. She coordinates all studio productions and staff operations, drawing on her M.F.A. in Dance and 15 years teaching experience. Her background includes university teaching and professional performances at theme parks and cultural events.
Esther Jung
Ballet Mistress
Esther Jung directs the Pre-Professional program with expertise in ballet, jazz, and contemporary. A former competition award winner, she brings professional performance experience from Delineation Dance Company and DAGDAG dance. She has taught at Strong Dance Studios for six years, specializing in advanced technique and choreography.
