At Marat Daukayev School of Ballet, we are dedicated to providing a world-class ballet education to students of all ages and skill levels. Founded by Artistic Director Marat Daukayev, our school has been a cornerstone of the Los Angeles ballet community for over two decades.

Our History

Marat Daukayev School of Ballet was established in 2001 by Marat and Pamela Daukayev in the mid-Wilshire area of Los Angeles. The school initially operated out of Dance Arts Academy, where it flourished for nearly 20 years. In 2019, the academy closed its doors, and Marat and Pamela took the opportunity to relocate the school to a modern and spacious studio space in Koreatown, where it currently resides.

Since its inception, our school has grown from a small handful of students to one of the largest and most well-regarded ballet schools in Los Angeles. We have had the privilege of teaching and training over 2,000 students, many of whom have gone on to dance professionally with some of the world's top ballet companies. Our school welcomes all children who wish to apply themselves to develop and practice the discipline of classical ballet. All of our students have the opportunity to train with exceptional teachers, whether they aspire to dance professionally or simply study ballet to develop self-discipline, confidence, or physical fitness.

Our faculty consists of experienced and dedicated instructors who have a deep understanding of classical ballet. Our faculty members have trained at some of the world's top ballet schools and have performed with renowned companies. We are proud to have instructors who have had illustrious careers as professional dancers and choreographers.

Our state-of-the-art facility is located in the heart of Koreatown, just minutes from downtown Los Angeles. Our spacious studios are equipped with professional-grade flooring, mirrors, and sound systems, providing the perfect environment for our students to learn and grow.

Performances

We regularly host performances throughout the year, showcasing our students' talents to audiences of all ages. Our performances range from showcases of student solos to full-scale productions of beloved ballets.
