Dr. Policar's professional journey began in the retail industry, where she developed strong interpersonal skills and a passion for helping others. She went on to earn degrees in English and Humanities, teaching, and educational counseling, before pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Clinical Psychology. She has also completed internships at Yolo County Mental Health and Yolo Family Service Agency.

With over a decade of experience as a private practice psychologist, Dr. Policar has worked with clients from diverse backgrounds, addressing a wide range of issues, from Adjustment Disorders to Schizophrenia. Her extensive experience includes working as a guidance counselor, teacher, and language arts consultant, where she developed strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
