Our Story

Welcome to Shooting Star Preschool and Childcare, a locally owned and operated facility that has been serving the community since 2005. Our mission is to enrich the quality of life for the families we serve by providing safe, quality, early learning experiences for the children in our care.

As a child, I would often visit my father's friend, Mr. Hora, at his daycare center, Busy Bee, in Renton. During those visits, my father would point out the constellations and shooting stars to me as we drove to pick me up. This memory always stuck with me, and when the time came to create a business plan in my early childhood education program, I knew exactly where I wanted to locate my building. With the support of my mother, I was able to turn my vision into a reality, and Shooting Star Preschool and Childcare opened its doors on June 5th, 2005, in the same location as the old Busy Bee building.

Our Facility

Our state-of-the-art facility is designed to provide a safe, clean, and well-planned environment for young minds to prosper. Each classroom is equipped with center stations, allowing children to experience a variety of activities with their teachers' guidance. Our staff takes great pride in their work, and we strive to maintain an atmosphere of open communication with our families.

Our Staff

Shooting Star Preschool and Childcare is proud to have a professional and caring staff who not only love children but also understand their developmental needs. All of our staff members undergo extensive background checks to ensure the highest level of security for our children. Our dedicated staff members take the time to get to know each child and their family, building strong bonds and relationships.

Nutrition

Nutrition plays a vital role in a child's physical, emotional, and cognitive development. Our menu is carefully designed to provide healthy, well-balanced meals and snacks that meet the USDA Childcare Food Program standards. We understand the importance of proper nutrition and are committed to providing our children with the fuel they need to grow and thrive.

Our Programs

At Shooting Star Preschool and Childcare, we offer a range of programs designed specifically for children from infancy to school age. Our programs include:

• Infant Room: Our experienced caregivers provide tender loving care to our smallest visitors, eager to meet these miracles of new life with compassion and a smile.
• Toddler Room: Our staff works closely with these curious young minds, providing a nurturing environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Preschool Room: Our staff members care for these naturally inquisitive children, using games and activities to foster their growth and development.
• Pre-K Room: Our Pre-K teacher prepares your child for a lifetime of learning, using engaging games and activities to encourage growth and development.
• School Age Room: We strive to help your child develop into a well-rounded individual, while also nurturing their individual talents and interests.

Our Community

At Shooting Star Preschool and Childcare, we believe in building strong relationships with our families and community. We encourage families to participate in our center and invite them to join in on activities such as snack time, reading sessions, and special events.
