Guesthouse Interior Design

At Guesthouse, we are dedicated to transforming spaces into highly personalized interior landscapes. Since 2009, our award-winning residential and commercial Interior Design firm has been recognized for its daring use of color, unexpected scale, sculptural form, rare vintage pieces, and masterful layering of texture, pattern, and light. Our designs are atmospheric, artful, and refined, evoking lasting client experiences and driving the conversation forward about art and meaning in experiential interior design.

Our Story

Our journey began with a focus on residential projects, which earned us a referral-based clientele for exceptional designs. We expanded our portfolio in 2013 to include commercial and hospitality design, soon winning the award for "Best Commercial Project in Washington State" by ASID. This recognition solidified our capabilities in the field of commercial design. Our work has been featured on HGTV and in local design publications, including Luxe Magazine, Seattle Met Magazine, and Seattle Magazine, who named us the "Best Housewares Shop in Seattle" in 2012.

Meet Our Designers

Our team is led by Principal Designers Kate Sehulster and Kaitlin McCague. Kate, a Northern California native, brings a family legacy of prominent Architects and Artists to her design philosophy. Kaitlin, who joined us in 2014, has an inter-disciplinary background in Interior Architecture, Art History, and Sustainable Management. Both designers are known for their curiosity, which drives them to travel, pursue knowledge, and learn new art forms and skills.
