Jackie's Family Child Care and Preschool in Saugus is a family-owned and operated business that has been providing top-quality child care and early education services for over 20 years. Our philosophy is centered around the belief that character is what you do when no one is looking. We strive to instill strong values, such as kindness, carefulness, care, and responsibility, in all of our students. Our team, led by owner Jackie Johnson-Powell, includes Jackie's daughter and husband, who are fully certified and ready to step in when needed. Our Services
At Jackie's Family Child Care and Preschool, we offer a comprehensive child care program for infants through school-age children, up to age 12. Our program focuses on providing a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes all areas of development, including language, emotional, imaginative, creative, social, cognitive, physical, healthy habits, and self-help skills.
Our infant care program is tailored to meet the individual needs of each child, with a strong emphasis on speech development starting from infancy. Our preschool program, which starts at 18 months old, provides a unique one-on-one experience for each child, with a focus on kindergarten readiness skills, including computer skills with ABCMouse.com. Our school-age program is designed to provide consistent emotional support and continuity of care for children who have been in our care through the preschool years.
Our Facility
Our large facility includes a spacious backyard with a large sandbox, age-appropriate toys, and plenty of room for bike riding, plane and kite flying, and exploring our science garden. We have a variety of toys and activities to keep children engaged and learning, including puzzles, play dough, games, legos, and blocks. Our large play area is nothing without a huge variety of toys and activities!
Healthy Habits
At Jackie's Family Child Care and Preschool, we believe that healthy habits start early. We serve breakfast, morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack, with baby food provided by parents to prevent allergic reactions. Our menus are nutritious and well-balanced, with plenty of fruit and vegetables. We also teach and promote healthy habits, such as regular exercise, hand-washing, and oral hygiene.
