The Arborists that the region can Depend On___

At Amanda's Massage, we believe in treating each client with dignity, respect, and caring attention. Our focus is on reducing pain and discomfort while providing an avenue to forget about the stresses of life. As an owner-operated small business in Hollis, New Hampshire, we offer a variety of therapy and timing options to serve your needs.

Our founder, Amanda Chapman, began her journey into massage after suffering multiple injuries and concussions from an active lifestyle. Frustrated with not getting relief from traditional approaches, she turned to massage as a course of therapy and comfort. With the easing of chronic pain, tension, and overall unpleasantness, Amanda made it her passion to study the art of massage and how she could use it to help others. She completed her studies at the top of her class from the Seacoast Career School in Manchester, NH, with nearly a thousand hours of hands-on training. Since 2006, she has been licensed in the State of New Hampshire and has also maintained a good standing membership with Associated Body Work and Massage Professionals organization.

On her off-time, Amanda enjoys working out, bicycling, and running. She is a native of New Hampshire, where she currently resides, but has traveled extensively throughout the United States exploring her passion for the great outdoors. When not focusing on helping her clients, she can be found enjoying time with her family and hiking throughout the State with her four-legged friend Kylie. Both are working on completing all of their 4,000 footers. Amanda is passionate about her discipline and continues to learn new therapies and techniques to create the perfect client experience.

Services

We offer a variety of massage therapies and timing options to serve your needs. Some of the services we provide include:

  • Deep Tissue Massage: Deep tissue massage is a focused, therapeutic massage that targets muscle knots (also known as "adhesions") and specific problem areas in the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. Using deliberate, slow strokes or friction across the grain of the muscle, the therapist addresses chronic tight or painful muscles, repetitive strain, postural problems, or injuries. While it's true that the pressure of deep tissue is generally more intense than that of a Swedish massage, it shouldn't have to be painful to be effective. If you're experiencing pain, let your massage therapist know right away. This type of massage is particularly beneficial for people with chronic pain or lingering injuries that cause ongoing pain or stiffness.
  • Swedish Massage: Swedish massage is a gentle, relaxing, and soothing type of full-body massage that is ideal for those who want to fully relax and unwind. It involves long strokes, kneading, and tapping on the muscles while using massage oils or lotions. The therapist will work through your body using long flowing strokes to ease muscle tension and promote relaxation. This type of massage is beneficial for stress relief, muscle relaxation, and improving circulation.
  • Sports Massage: Sports massage is designed to help athletes and fitness enthusiasts prepare for and recover from their respective sports and fitness activities. It involves a combination of Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, and stretching techniques. This type of massage can help improve flexibility, reduce muscle tension, and aid in the recovery of muscle injuries.
  • Prenatal Massage: Prenatal massage is a form of bodywork that is specifically tailored for the expectant mother's needs. It is similar to massage for non-pregnant individuals but with some adjustments for the mother's body during pregnancy. Prenatal massage can help alleviate discomfort associated with pregnancy, improve circulation, and reduce stress.
