At The Neighborhood Preschool, we believe that every child is unique and deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. Our mission is to provide a nurturing environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive. We believe that children learn best through play, and we offer a variety of activities and experiences designed to stimulate their curiosity and foster their development.
Our school is dedicated to promoting cultural, racial, religious, and socioeconomic diversity within our community. We believe that every child has something special to offer, and we encourage our students to celebrate their differences and embrace the diversity that surrounds them. We also welcome parents to participate in our program and share their talents and cultural traditions with our children.
Our Philosophy
"Play is often talked about as if it is a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood." - Fred Rogers
We believe that nurturing confidence, curiosity, and cooperative relationships with both peers and adults is as important as guiding cognitive skills. Children who are healthy emotionally are best prepared for later schooling, and we strive to create an environment where children can feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore and learn.
Our Leadership
Our leadership team is dedicated to creating a positive and supportive environment for our students and staff. Our directors and teachers are experienced professionals who are passionate about early childhood education and committed to helping our students reach their full potential.
Our Teachers
Our teachers are the heart of our school, and we are fortunate to have a team of dedicated, caring, and experienced professionals. Each teacher is trained in early childhood education and is committed to providing high-quality care and instruction to our students. Our teachers work closely with parents to ensure that each child's unique needs are met, and they are always available to answer questions and provide support.

Classrooms
We offer a variety of classrooms designed to meet the unique needs of our students. Our infant and toddler classrooms provide a nurturing environment where our youngest students can grow and develop, while our preschool classrooms offer a more structured program with plenty of opportunities for exploration and discovery.
Infants & Toddlers
Our Infants & Toddlers program is designed for our littlest children. For infants, we focus on following each child's individualized patterns and gradually adapting to a more consistent, but flexible, program as they grow and change. Our toddler program builds on this foundation, providing a more regular pattern with plenty of time for children to choose their own activities and explore their surroundings.
Preschool
Our Preschool program provides our older children with a more regular pattern, with considerable time built-in for children to choose their own activities. We believe that children learn best through play, and we offer a variety of activities and experiences designed to stimulate their curiosity and foster their development.
Summer
When space is available, we can offer contracts through the summer months for families seeking supplemental care. Our summer program is designed to be fun and engaging, with plenty of opportunities for outdoor play and exploration.
