Who We Are

At Foundations for Early Childhood Excellence, our mission is to deliver exceptional early childhood education to children and families in our community. Since our humble beginnings as a family-founded program in March 2010, we have grown to five locations, driven by our passion for providing safe, affordable, and high-quality care that caters to the needs of working families. We believe in the power of nurturing young minds and laying a strong foundation for their future success.

Our team is comprised of experienced and dedicated individuals who are deeply committed to the well-being and development of each child. We strive to create stimulating learning environments where children can explore, discover, and thrive. Our curriculum is carefully designed to be age-appropriate, engaging, and developmentally enriching, encompassing all aspects of a child's growth-cognitive, social, emotional, and physical.

Our Leadership Team

The heart of Foundations for Early Childhood Excellence lies in the dedication and expertise of our leadership team.

Jennifer Fisher, M.Ed., is the Founder and Executive Director, a passionate advocate for high-quality early childhood education. Her Masters Degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education, combined with her rich classroom experience, equips her with a profound understanding of child development. Jennifer's unwavering commitment to providing children with the resources they need to reach their full potential drives every decision she makes.

Leading the operations of our centers is Tricia Pendleton, M.Ed., our Director of Operations. With over 15 years of experience in early childhood education, spanning roles from classroom teacher to program director, Tricia brings a wealth of knowledge to her position. Her dedication to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children and her unwavering support of our dedicated staff are invaluable assets to Foundations.

Winnie O'Connell serves as Program Director at our Grant Street location. With a degree in early childhood education and over 12 years of classroom experience, Winnie is a mentor and guide to our teachers, fostering a supportive and collaborative learning environment. Her commitment to promoting the well-being and development of every child is evident in her daily efforts.

Tori McGrogan, MSW, leads the program at our DeCamp Avenue location. Tori's Masters Degree in Social Work and her dedication to social-emotional development complement her educational expertise. She and her team create a nurturing space where children not only learn academically but also develop essential social skills and emotional intelligence.

Rounding out our leadership team is LaDonna Wright, B.A., our Program Director at Indiana Avenue. LaDonna brings 25 years of experience in the early childhood education field, spanning various roles from classroom teacher to program director. She is driven by a passion to ensure that every child receives a high-quality early education.

Our Programs

At Foundations, we offer a variety of programs designed to meet the unique needs of each child and family. Our programs are designed to promote a love of learning, foster creativity, build social skills, and encourage physical development. We believe that play-based learning is essential for young children's growth and development. Through hands-on activities, exploration, and social interaction, children learn essential skills and concepts in a fun and engaging way.

Our curriculum incorporates age-appropriate activities and materials that cater to each child's individual learning style. We create a nurturing and supportive environment where children feel safe to explore, experiment, and take risks. Our teachers are dedicated to observing and understanding each child's needs, providing individualized attention and support.
