Bethesda Women's Mental Health

Bethesda Women's Mental Health is a collaborative psychiatric practice committed to serving women in the DC Metro area. Our mission is to empower women to lead more fulfilling lives. Throughout a woman's life, there are various stressors, as well as hormonal transitions, which can affect symptoms of mood and anxiety. Evaluation and treatment by a psychiatrist and/or therapist using evidence-based medication management and therapeutic interventions can be very effective. We are dedicated to providing you with an individual treatment plan and compassionate care.

Our Team

Our team consists of experienced professionals, including Dr. Harita Raja, a board-certified psychiatrist, and Ms. Suzanne DellOrfano, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Dr. Raja specializes in women's mental health, with expertise in reproductive psychiatry, and has published numerous articles and a book chapter about women's mental health. Ms. DellOrfano specializes in the mental health needs of women experiencing postpartum adjustment as well as other life transitions.

Services

We offer a range of services, including individual psychotherapy, couples therapy, and psychiatric services. Our comprehensive psychiatric services include initial evaluations, second opinions, and medication management, with expertise in the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, and perimenopause. Our therapists use a variety of techniques, including psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and solution-focused approaches, to address each individual's unique needs and strengths.
