Our Story

Established in 1991, Kids Corner Preschool and Childcare has been a beloved institution in El Sobrante, California, nurturing generations of children. We offer a wholesome and diverse year-round program tailored to children aged 2 to 6. Our licensed facility is recognized within the community as a successful model in early childhood education, deeply committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive.

Educational Philosophy & Approach

At Kids Corner, our primary goal is to cultivate a clean, safe, comfortable, and loving space where children can flourish. We believe in a play-based approach to learning, which fosters a natural sharing of knowledge between children and adults in an interactive and exploratory environment. Our skilled teachers guide the learning process by asking thought-provoking questions and encouraging children to think critically and problem-solve. Under our care, children are empowered to explore, question, and discover, developing essential social, emotional, physical, and intellectual skills. We nurture each child's unique potential and foster a lifelong love of learning.

Our Programs

We offer three distinct classrooms, each catering to specific age groups and developmental milestones:

• Caterpillar Classroom (Ages 2-3): This vibrant classroom welcomes our youngest learners, providing a nurturing environment where they can explore their surroundings, develop social skills, and build a foundation of early literacy and numeracy skills through play-based activities.

• Butterfly Classroom (Ages 3-4): In this blossoming classroom, children continue to develop their curiosity and imagination. We focus on expanding their language abilities, encouraging creative expression through art and music, and fostering a deeper understanding of the world around them.

• Blossom Classroom (Ages 4-6): Our oldest learners prepare for kindergarten in this engaging and challenging environment. We enhance their cognitive skills through age-appropriate academics, encourage problem-solving and critical thinking, and cultivate their social responsibility through collaborative activities and community involvement.
