Our History
More Than Music opened its doors in September 1988 with Nancy Shanahan as the founder and a private piano instructor for the school. Over the years, we've taught hundreds of students in the community, from pre-school age to adulthood. It's always rewarding to watch our students grow from year to year at our annual spring recital. Today, Elizabeth Maddock is taking the helm to continue Nancy's legacy of creating a space where students can continue to express themselves through music.

Our mission is to provide a supportive and nurturing environment where students of all ages can explore their musical talents. We believe that music education should be fun, engaging, and tailored to each student's individual needs. Our experienced instructors are dedicated to helping our students achieve their musical goals, whether it's to learn a new instrument, improve their vocal skills, or simply to have fun making music.
Our Services
We offer a wide range of music lessons for children, teens, and adults, including private and group lessons for all instruments and voice. Our lessons are designed to be engaging, interactive, and tailored to each student's individual needs and goals. We also offer summer semester lessons, allowing our students to continue their musical journey even when school is out.
