Southshore Animal Hospital is a full-service small animal medical facility that offers a wide range of services, including boarding, chemotherapy, dental care, dermatology, in-clinic diagnostics, heartworm testing, immunotherapy, laser therapy, microchipping, nutritional counseling, pain management, pharmacy, surgery, and ultrasound. We also provide wellness visits, stem cell therapy, digital radiography, and more.
Our Story
A native New Orleanian, Dr. Chris Forstall was inspired at a young age to become a veterinarian and to one day open his own veterinary practice. After achieving his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, he began practicing in the New Orleans area in 2005, and was able to make his dream come true in 2013. Today, Southshore Animal Hospital is committed to maintaining superior pet health care and providing outstanding customer service and educational guidance for members of our community.

Our veterinarians have a great deal of hands-on surgical experience, and Dr. Forstall is specially trained to perform Tibial Tuberosity Advancement (TTA) knee surgery.
