Greater Newport Physicians MemorialCare, an Independent Practice Association (IPA), was formed in 1985 by a group of 50 dedicated physicians who sought to enhance the quality of care for their community. Over the past three decades, GNP has grown to include approximately 900 primary care and specialty physicians, earning a reputation for delivering award-winning care.

As an IPA, GNP is comprised of physicians in private practice, with a philosophy that healthcare decisions should be made by the doctor and the patient. This approach ensures that patients receive personalized, compassionate care that addresses their unique needs and preferences.

GNP has recently unveiled a new brand identity that reflects the extraordinary physicians and the quality care they provide. • Specialty Care: In addition to primary care, GNP offers access to a network of specialty physicians who provide care in areas such as cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, general surgery, nephrology, neurology, obstetrics and gynecology, oncology, orthopedics, otolaryngology, pain management, psychiatry, pulmonology, radiology, rheumatology, urology, and more.

• Breast Care Centers: MemorialCare Breast Care Centers are among the most comprehensive breast cancer centers in Los Angeles and Orange County. These centers offer state-of-the-art diagnostic services, including digital mammography, ultrasound, and MRI, as well as treatment options for breast cancer patients.

• Urgent Care: GNP has 12 convenient locations throughout Southern California, providing members with immediate access to care when they need it. Urgent care services are available for conditions that require prompt attention but are not life-threatening, such as colds, flu, minor injuries, and sprains.

• Lab Services: GNP partners exclusively with Labcorp for all outpatient lab services, ensuring that members have access to high-quality, convenient laboratory testing.

• Video Visits: Members can schedule virtual visits with their doctors from the comfort of their own homes, eliminating the need for in-person appointments for routine check-ups and consultations.

• Medicare Advantage Plans: GNP offers informative discussions and educational resources for Medicare beneficiaries, helping them understand their options for Original Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Prescription Drug Plans, and Medigap plans.
